This page is dedicated as a fast reference to all things SMKA, track access, cost, events, and resource links.
1) I have a Kart in the garage ready to roll and want to drive the track, what are my options?
Please join our scheduled shared track days this year. There is a small cost to get on track, and free to spectators that simply want to check out the scene and ask questions.
It’s also the best time to complete your membership application.
The cost to Drive your kart during our open shared Kart and Motorcycle track days is $60.00 Cash, and non-drivers are Free.
Event Weekends when the track is hosting a race promotor may require an access fee to spectate their events, be certain to check the events calendar and website/Facebook of the race promotor.
2) Does SMKA have Rental Karts?
No, SMKA does not have rental karts available for test drives, or racing.
There are other options for kart rental in California if you need a kart rental arrangement for Karting.
3) Where is the Track?
3951 S. Blosser Rd. Santa Maria 93455
The Gate will be open during event weekends. Otherwise, membership gate access is required to visit the SMKA Track.
4) What is your membership like?
Membership application is available here.
Our members are granted gate code access and are free to the track on non-event days.
5) I’m unsure what kind of kart I should start with, or what my kid should start on, what kart should I buy?
Reasons for buying a particular kart will vary, some people buy what has the largest racing numbers regionally, some buy a kart and engine that fits their mechanical ability to start out with.
See our Technical Resource Page for information on Karts.
